Let's see 5 years ago he started on Crestor 2 years after that he needed a hip replacement! HMM!!! think theres a connection here.
He dosen't say what other types of meds he's taking other then asprin? Perhaps they where shooting him with something like humara or other osteo drugs and perhaps Calcium supps. and big doses of Vitamin D. Maybe even GERD MEDS That lower the stomachs acid levels.
Or if you really want to mess up your arteries with calcium, metoclopramide!!
Calcium build up and bone work or tooth extractions seem also to go hand and hand.
Has he had blood work to show what kind of serum levels of calcium are in his blood (Parathyroid?)
Did they do an ultrasound of his cartiod artery's?
I agree on the angiogram for the 756 but a stent placed in a calcified artery is just trouble in the making. A roto router job would be more proper if it is truly a calcium build up, the Cath would determine this.
Remember the final step in sealing off a stabil plaque build up is a CALCIUM COAT!
You'll notice meds are the biggest culprits!! Owen gave the best advice here! I would advise this gentleman to follow his directions.

First things first. ASA=acetylsalicylic acid (asprin)

Most soft tissue calcification is usually caused by renal problems, a mineral imbalance and or tissue damage. So what can you do? Drink plenty of water, Take a magnesium/potassium supplement and take high doses of vitamin C so your tissue heals faster then the body can bandage it on it's own. These are good preventive measures that will show their benefits later on.

In this persons case he needs to get a serum calicum check (Blood test) if it's high he needs to get his parathyroid and kidneys checked.

At this point especially if they place a stent in his heart he needs to get on Vitamin D to mobilize the calcium and Vitamin K2 as MK-7 (emphasis on MK-7) to direct the calcium back to the bones. Then a supplement of Magnesium Potassium Asperate to keep the calcium out of the cells.

Here's some links that will add to the confusion.

This is the vitamin C foundation, and I for one have little or no real expertise in vitamin K and I don't know if the wiki on vitamin K is correct, but if it is - it would seem that MK4 is the version of K2 that is important, and I see that up to 45 milligrams of MK4 is prescribed for osteoporosis in Japan.

The US FDA has not approved any form of vitamin K for the prevention or treatment of osteoporosis; however, MK4 has been shown to decrease fractures up to 87%.[14] In the amount of 45 mg daily MK4 has been approved by the Ministry of Health in Japan since 1995 for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.[15]

Vitamin K2 (MK4, but not MK7 or vitamin K1) has also been shown to prevent bone loss and/or fractures in the following circumstances:

And in an animal model MK4 was shown to prevent arterial calcifications, pointing to its potential role in cardiovascular disease prevention.[49] In this study vitamin K1 was also tested and shown not to prevent arterial calcifications.
