Cardio-C designed for convenience or efficacy

Post Number:#1  Post by ofonorow » Wed Oct 14, 2015 6:11 am

A customer left a message wondering if the Cardio had everything together for convenience or are they absorbed better together? (I bet it's convenient!)

He is under the impression the ingredients absorb differently (empty and full tummy).

Yes we did originally design Tower Heart Technology and Cardio-C for convenience, but we learned later learned that vitamin C is absorbed better when eaten with protein (e.g. amino acids)! This knowledge comes from biochemist Shelly Lewin's book VITAMIN C: ITS BIOLOGY AND MEDICAL POTENTIAL (1976) (According to Dr. Lewis, the aminos "chelate" vitamin C, making it better absorbed and protecting it from breaking down.)

On the contrary, carbs in the meal will tend to break down vitamin C making ascorbate less bioavailable.

That Cardio-C is a mixture of vitamin C and amino acids may explain the remarkable success that has been reported since 1994.

Over the years people have reported that taking Cardio-C 20 minutes prior to meals produces the least nusiance issues (e.g. gas/flatulence)
