Excuse me for my ignorance but there was a success story on the testomonials page that claimed after a week or 10 days on vit c / lysine all their angina pain had gone. Can it really clear out plaque that quickly or do you think the improvement was as the protocol had helped something else so speedily, and if so out of interest what could that be. Realistically how long would it take to clear plaque / a blockage on the protocol on average.

For me I found relief about 10 days on high dose vitamin C and Lysine ...but my narrowing was in the superior mesenteric artery that come off the heart and feeds the stomach and intestines..I was feeling pretty bad my main symptoms was severe stomach pain after eating ...so always felt better if I did not eat ..had all the tests ekg, stress echocardiogram, edoscopy, and ultra sound of the gallbadder and pancreas which were all fine ..then my doctor ordered a mesentary duplex ultrasound that showed I had 50% narrowing and 48% narrowing of mesenteric celiac artery ...in about 10 days I could eat with out any pain and felt better over all and could get back to my regular workout schedule..

So do you feel it cleared that 50% blockage / plauque / narrowing in the 10 days or the relief was from some other mechanism?

Excellent question! Although quite reproducible, we don't really know.

A lot depends on the nature of the blockage. At first, I thought I might be a Nitric Oxide (NO) effect, simply dilating the arteries allowing more blood flow, like one sees with high-dose arginine (when it mimics the effects of Viagra).

But there is evidence the plaques are actually dissolved, at least soft plaques. (Thank you Linus Pauling!)

My uncle was diagnosed with a 50% carotid "blockage" that cleared in 30 days, verified by surgery, on 1/2 the therapeutic dosage -- as described in my book. (https://www.amazon.com/Practicing-Medicine-Without-License-Pauling-ebook/dp/B0731L3MF8/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_2?keywords=fonorow+practicing&qid=1554208356&s=gateway&sr=8-2-fkmrnull)

The late eye-doctor Dr. Sydney Bush would watch as "atheromas" (soft white plaques) would literally dissolve in his patients retinas. (It got the point where he could tell what they ate by looking at their retinas and retinal photographs.) The effect was days, not months.

There is the Pauling/Rath patent for "dissolving" plaques in transplant organs. The invention is to dip the organ, e.g. the heart, into a bath of vitamin C and lysine, dissolving the unwanted plaques prior to transplant. (Ref: the patents at https://PaulingTherapy.com)

We think we know that calcified (plaques) sometimes or once referred to as arteriolsclerosis will take much longer to rectify, and we think it requires the addition of vitamin K to Pauling's basic therapy.

CB122 I do believe that it was cleared in the 10 days or open enough so I could eat without pain..I also had a repeat ultrasound in a year that showed there was no more blockage I started out on 18000 mg of vitamin C and gradually decreased it ..as Noel I am on 5000 mgs and 5000 l lyine if I up the dose I now get diarrhea..so will stay on that maintaince Doone forever..
