How much proline?

Hi
I am currently taking CardioAde but will switch to Heart Technology when I reorder.
Heart Technology has 500mg of Proline but my question is should I add more proline. The reason I am asking is that on a certain website it cited that Pauling recommended 2000 mg Proline per day. None of your products contain this.
Any feedback would be appreciated!
Thanks Greg

Actually, Pauling never recommended proline. This recommendation was made by his associate Matthias Rath, perhaps after the University of Chicago discovered the proline binding sites on the Lp(a) molecule after Pauling died.

While some alternative doctors have prescribed 2000 mg of proline, as you point out, Heart Technology contains (or used to contain) 400 mg, so the therapeutic dosage at a minimum of 2 jars would contain a minimum of 800 mg proline daily. And this amount has had remarkable results:

Proline is not essential, which paradoxically means our body makes it (implying that we cannot get enough in our foods) so the amount required per individual is harder to estimate. We do believe that if your measured Lp(a) is elevated, it is probably an indication that you should take more proline.

Finally, the group who authored the following paper has been using Cardio-C (1 to 2 jars) - which provides 500 to 1000 mg proline. They claim to routinely monitor reversals of atherosclerosis
