Peripheral artery of the toes

Has any one found that vitamin c in high doses helps with peripheral artery disease of the toes..

Any more info? Are you diabetic? Dr. Roger J. Williams in NUTRITION AGAINST DISEASE recommended magnesium for peripheral artery disease (at least in his case) and soaking feet in Epsom salts might not be a bad idea.

Use topical, oral and if possible depending on severity DMSO infusions. It would cure both the erythematous toes and the underlying cause. ( Whether rheumatic, vessel narrowing or Type 2 Diabetes).

A few points:
1. You MIGHT need to cut your dose of Norvasc, depending on frequency, duration and strength of DMSO applied.
2. When placing an order you could quote me, Jeff Jacob might give you a X-mas discount. A good friend and a decent gentleman.
3. Lastly am amazed to hear about your med issues, 5+ yrs and still none improvements rather going downhill. Though never has happened in +3 decades, but if my patients don't start to feel well in 2-4 weeks and cured in max 6 months they switch to another doc.

I am currently on 5mg of Norvasc and I did get cured of the superior mesinteric artery disease that is all clear I had all the cardiovascular heart tests and no narrowing or problems there ..it is only in my toes and very mild . Here is the dr report.

Right: no evidence of lower extremity arterial Occlusive disease to the ankle.
Toe-brachial index substantially lower than ankle brachial index indicates
Presence of Moderate arterial occlusive disease in the foot.

Left: no evidence of lower extremity arterial occlusive disease to the ankle.
Toe-brachial index substantially lower Then ankle-brachial index indicates
Presence Of moderate arterial occlusive disease in the foot.

Note hypertension is present based on Doppler derived systolic blood pressure

I'd recommend to start it once 70% strength, to get the feel.
If all goes well, increase to twice daily (or even thrice) and strength to 80%.
Apply and let it get absorbed would take approx 20-25 mins.
Your symptoms should be alleviated in a few days.

A couple more points:
1. Do wipe the area before applying with a soaked cloth.
2. Expect slight temporary redness, stinging etc. which dissipates in 10-20 mins post application. Nothing to be concerned about.
