Vitamin K2 Question

Post Number:#1  Post by DiverDown2 » Wed Jun 22, 2022 6:42 am

Is it ok to take both forms of Vitamin K2 (Mk-4 and MK-7)?
Example: Life Extensions Vitamin K2, 45000 mcg (45 mg) Mk-4 in the am. and Jarrows K2 180 mcg. Mk-7 in the pm.
Or is this too much?

I'm no doctor but I've been taking both for years. They both have natural food sources so a good diet would contain both. They also have slightly different effects. I think MK7 helps blood clotting just like regular k and I don't think MK4 has been shown to do this. I also think the doses you're getting are fine. Look up a product called Koncentrated K and look at the levels in that supplement. I doubt you're getting that much. The story behind the supplement is also very interesting. The producer claims to have cured his own heart disease.
