Liver enzyme elevation avoidance

Post by BaronZemo » Sat Mar 30, 2024 12:33 pm

Recently I had a very high spike in liver enzymes do to a medication I was taking. I want to take this medication, but not at the cost of my liver. Does anyone here know how the liver functions? If I were to take the this medication in divided doses with food throughout the day, would that allow the liver to become less likely to be inflamed and produce the elevated enzymes or is there a better way? I am already taking milk thistle, (which so far has had no effect) as well as adding ginger and soon tudca as well.

I probably could recommend, only if I have access to the following:
1. Medication name, I can imagine not posting on a public forum.
2. Lab works.
3. Lastly, in your earlier thread even before the diagnosis of Ca Prostate, with elevated liver enzymes (non responsive to Silymarin) and PSA only, recommended having an abdominal US sonogram to rule out any malignancy. Now there is a possibility of a met, hope am wrong.

All the above mentioned #3, you could PM/email, ONLY if interested.
