dear sir/madam
just a short note i have taken lyposomal c and cardio c for two months because i have atherosclerosis in my cerebrum. Every where else seems clear. not sure why it specifically happened there. it is bilateral at a flexure in the artery 30% blochage on one side and 40% on the other.
i have been taking regular vitamin c about a 1-2 gram daily for 5 years prior to this recent regime.
6 years ago i had a stroke following the use of blood pressure medication i think my blood pressure was lowered too quickly. The blood pressure had damaged my kidneys and i was close to dialysis . This has slowly recovered and my gfr has reached about 52% from its original 28 with herbs and drugs .
After taking lyposomal C my blood pressure went up from 140/80 to 180/100. All side effect from the drugs disappeared . i assume my liver break down of the drugs has increased to the point that they where ineffective and have had to stop taking lyposomal c . My blood pressure is falling again . i am taking amlodipine a calcium channel blocker and amias or candersarten. i think for saftey reasons you should print information on the packeging to warn people that the use should be limited . It does seem that you need to be well enough to take the vitamin c at this level of absorbtion.
i would still like a protocol for using it to reduce atherosclerosis with out affecting my blood pressure drugs. I am sure the only way to get better in the long run is to treat the atherosclerosis and not the blood pressure. But i could not allow my blood pressure to rise this amount with out damage to my kidney.
Your comments would be appreciated.
regards
Can you tell us more about the liposomal C? (I note that you have purchased Cardio-C from us, but I do not see any purchase of our liposomal vitamin C in your records.)
When we are talking about the brain, we face the problem of the blood-brain barrier. Atherosclerosis of the brain requires nutrients or factors that can pass the barrier.
My guess is that you have an high requirement for vitamin C, perhaps more than 10,000 mg daily, which you should try to take as ordinary vitamin C.
I hope johnwen posts a response.
