Hi thanks for all the great information on this forum.
I did a Vitamin C IV 40g (sodium ascorbate as Quali-C) in a 500ml lactated ringers, over a 3 hour time, no side effects.
I'm not diabetic, but when I check my glucose during the IV it was reading 220 and when I slowed down the infusion drip rate it dropped to 198 once I increase the infusion it upped again to 240.
Few hours after the IV finished its back to 100
since lactated ringers and vitamin C are sugar free does it mean that vitamin C causes a false glucose reading?
if somebody has info on this would be appreciated.
