I was a patient of Dr. Eugene Shippen for 6 years, and he evaluated and corrected many more things than testosterone levels. Now I am a patient of Dr. Keith Nichols.
I am also a member of Peaktestosterone.com and have been for years, in fact that is where I first learned about Vitamin-C and this website.
There was a guy on there that kept preaching about Vitamin-C, and he was ridiculed, and made fun of. But thanks to him I learned about PT.

dude
that was me!
you use the same name over there, right?(or similar)

I am banned from the site, since Lee/peakT died, because of my stance on vit C(how others reacted to it) , Lee would always rescind my banning because he and I were "e-friends" but now he's gone and the new admin, simply told me he was following Lee's wishes or something

at any rate, this site is awesome, these guys know a lot
Ive not been sick since 2013(according to facebook) and I take 10+ grams/day
along with k2, mg, some vit D
and follow a peak diet of low fat and lots of fruit/veg

a few questions
how old are you?
are you using Defy medical or Dr Nichols your own MD?
Ive heard great things about defy and am going to go that route, likely
are you still on Peaktestrone?

Yes that was me as "JustAskin", Thanks so much, if not for you I would have never got interested in Vitamin-C!!!!
Peak used to have my formula on the main page about erections. We were friends also. His site is how I got interested in TRT also.
I am 70
I was with Dr. Shippen until he retired, he was an excellent teacher, and got me to where he thought I could do it on my own, but I needed a Dr. for prescriptions. Dr. Nichols has a different manner but is excellent, and I feel even better using some of his techniques.

Ok I know who you are.
It's great that you are getting so much out of vit C. I sorta want to go back and rub it into those guys faces how awesome vit C is, but oh well.
you can tell them and show them some evidence, like the links in my signature,
how's trt going for you?
still bangin'

have you ever gotten your lp(a) measured?

Yes, my Lp(a) values have been consistently over 200 for years before heart attack, for a while they dropped to 175 the lowest they have ever been, now back to 217. while doing the same thing, eating mostly dash diet and all the other PT supplements.

P.S. I was on 4 Scoops of Tower Heart Tech. for at least a year before heart attack. ever since I am taking 5 Scoops Heart Tech and enough Vitamin C powder to make 18 G. daily along with 9 G. L-Lysine and 2 G. L-Proline + 2 G. Magnesium and Unique-E. and all the other supplements Owen recommends.

what other supplements?
vit k2?
niacin?
b complex?

are you on a low fat, high nitrate diet as per peakT/lee myer and his forum?

how is your a1c and bodyfat?

my mother, 72, has a high LpA, and she is on all the above, and it is not changing,
but she never reaches BT and has lots of Rootcanals

do you reach Bowel Tolerance? via vit C?

Diet is very high nitrate (I test daily with test strips to keep N.O. optimal)
I take 2 LEF Super K Elite daily am/pm. " I have taken 1 Super k for years daily with 5000iu Vitamin D3 "
Niacin - yes
B-Complex LEF 2 Bioactive, Complete B-Complex daily
Very low fat diet, only fat is from 2 Table Spoonful's of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Avocado's daily.
Body fat 12%
a1c = 5.6%
I am up to 25 G. Vitamin C daily and have loose stools and gas. But not Diarrhea
L-Lysine = 9 G. Daily
L-Proline = 3 G. Daily
I exercise daily and have for years, but before heart attack I did eat some sugar, but never soft drinks. But now I never eat sugar or refined carbs.

I asked my family doctor. She told me all her patients with heart disease have high levels of lp(a). And she measures lp(a) in all her patients. Not many doctors do that in Germany. How do they do it in America?
Have you asked your doctor too, if all patients with heart disease have high lp(a)?

I had to almost demand my doctor to test Lipoprotein (a), then insurance would NOT pay saying they only pay for regular Cholesterol test that includes Total, HDL and LDL.
Now I go to LEF and get the LP(a) done myself! for 1/3 the price I had to pay after insurance would not pay and charged me 120.00.

A lp(a) check costs about 20 Euro in Germany and is usually reimbursed by insurance. I do the check every three months.
Is your value 217 measured in nmol or in weight?

217 nmol and should be below 75.
One thing I did notice today, when my LP(a) dropped to 175 nmol, I was on more thyroid med, my GP wanted to drop dose and now 217 nmol.
Also today I read on Tower Labs site that Hypothyroid increases LP(a).
It now cost 39.00 dollars on LEF, so I just order myself and bypass doctor. (anyway he said you only need to test once, because there is nothing you can do about it) Which I do NOT believe.
