Well for one thing, the people who sell the arginine products claiming to help cardiovascular problems rely on the production of Nitric Oxide for their arguments.

Release of nitric oxide is also the first step in getting an erection.

NO is involved in relaxing the blood vessel wall, which is one of the controls on blood pressure. Dr. Louis Ignarro won the Nobel Prize for showing how NO works in the body. In his book her recommends Vitamin C along with arginine and several other supplements to increase NO production.

If any of you have rabbits, you should have them read this :)

The present study demonstrates, at least in rabbits, that chronic ingestion of l-arginine, l-citrulline, and antioxidants
can reverse the progression of atherosclerosis.

Unfortunately for we humans, "the high-cholesterol-diet-induced atherosclerosis in rabbits" does not map well to human health, as these creatures make their own vitamin C. The only way to create a form of atherosclerosis in lab rabbits is via a very high cholesterol diet. As the Canadian cardiologist Willis noted back in the 50s, these lesions in animals with high-cholesterol diets are not the same as the typical atherosclerosis lesions in humans. Apples and oranges. Might be some value, and FYI, I am taking a companies high Arginine/citruline product right now - for 90 days, because they will refund my money if my "digital pulsewave" analysis doesn't improve :D (Win-win, I either get my money back or my score gets better).

Then, I plan to discuss the idea with the tech of checking high vitamin and lysine - and not in 90 days, but in 30 days, or even 10 days.
