Hi All,

Should one include n acetyl cysteine (NAC) in the Pauling Therapy or take at a separate time?

Here's a study of several supplementsnts/compounds that
appear to be beneficial.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

As http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17414225 I've tried to track this down I've conflicting articles

I couldn't hurt, but from our experience, it isn't necessary. Frequently N-acetyl cysteine is taken in hopes of increasing glutathione (GSH) inside cells, particularly liver cells. Increased (or normalized) GSH is always a good thing.

This is a study done by Pauling's partner's team (Matthias Rath) and from reading the abstract, I am surprised anyone can understand it. (Maybe it was translated from German?) I had heard that Rath had found that this combination, particularly high doses of vitamin C, lysine, proline and green tee extract, stopped cancers from growing. This abstract sounds like an extrapolation to atheroclerosis.
