My husband is having surgery next month and was told to take 1000mg of ESTER C. Do you carry ESTER C ? Thank you
Wow.This is so unusual that we will post it at our forum!
Sounds like you have a good doctor/cardiac team!
We don't carry or generally recommend Ester-C, but 1000 mg is a rather small vitamin C dosage so the calcium in the product shouldn't be an issue.
There are several options that we sell, and with impending surgery, I would seriously consider the liposomal form - Lypo-C from livonlabs.com. 1 packet is 1000 mg (but contains the estimated power of 5000 to 10000 mg of ordinary vitamin C because of its superior bioavailability.)
Ester-C is generally recommended because it is thought to be more bioavailable.
I am guessing they are recommending the vitamin C to improve his healing, and they may not be aware that Linus Pauling recommended higher dosages to stop and reverse heart disease. See http://PaulingTherapy.com for an overview of this discovery.
Still, good advice!
