100 grams of sodium ascorbate adds a lot of sodium into the body.
Would adding Pharma grade potassium chloride (as is used in lactated ringers) to the Cathcart solution be an improvement by creating a more balanced electrolyte solution? And would adding magnesium also further improve the solution by further reducing the potential for vein pain?
