On PT five years, cholesterol keeps rising

I have been on the Pauling Therapy for at least five years now and my cholesterol keeps rising. I also had my Lp(a) checked recently and two years ago it was 41, last year it was 38 and now it is 111. This is so frustrating. I am also on multiple other supplements including oral chelation. I have gone from taking the Pauling Therapy from four times a day to two times a day. I can\'t imagine this would change the Lp(a) that much. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

We would like to know more. How consistent, dosage, etc.

In our experience - dosage is everything. You might check out this link at our forum . http://www.vitamincfoundation.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=7593

Will post this at our forum and hopefully we can analyze your case.

What are your total cholesterol numbers - and dates?

What is your daily dosage of vitamin C (and when and what was it before you cut back).

What medications and medical history? Dental amalgams? Medications?

Who, and how is Lp(a) measured/calculated? And are you sure the 111 is same units (didn't go to nmol/l instead of mg/dl)?

Triamterene/HCTZ 75/50, one per day

At what point on your chart did you elevate to this dosage??

Also would be interested in your TSH Levels since you take LEVO.

In reference to my first question would also like to know age and weight. Decade would be oK!

I have been on the Triamterene for many years now, I do not know how long. It would have been before I started the Pauling Therapy. My latest TSH level on 5/13/11 was 3.70. My Free T4 was 1.18. I am 52 years old and weigh 210.

Mary,
What were your triglycerides please?
Did the doctors ever do a CRP?
