A new British study has shown that consuming large amounts of vitamin C through food can reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
In the study conducted on middle-aged men and women, it was shown that people with higher levels of vitamin C in their blood were much less at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
In the 12-year period that the study lasted, only 3.2% of the 22.000 study participants who had high amounts of vitamin C in their blood developed diabetes.
