Normally, I don't like sharing my wife's medical history, but her family physician order a heart scan/calcium score. These are the unbelievable (even to me) results she just received in the mail. (She does take Cardio-C daily, but her total vitamin C intake is much less than mine.)

Just curious, how long has she been on vitamin C?

Just spoke to a doctor/friend who also had a zero calcium score, so not as rare as I thought!

Our son is 23 years old, and my wife got up to 10,000 mg during pregnancy and lactation - so she has been taking rather high amounts of vitamin C for about 25 years. In 2006 she had colon surgery and her bowel tolerance went down and she has been taking mostly Lypo-C plus the serving of Cardio-C daily.

For completeness, we both went through the high Arginine trial this summer. Her score improved, while mine started high and remained high after 90 days.

But thinking about it and what I think I know from this forum - about why calcium deposits in arteries - this particular score is probably most due to our vitamin K intake. We have been taking LEF.ORG Super-K for years.
