I am a little confused how "lecithin" correlates into the Pauling therapy? (We have heard stories that in Europe and elsewhere a form of lecithin is given IV for heart patients with sometimes spectacular results.)
As far as soy, the process used by livon and other reputable firms completely eliminates any "free" soy from the product. It is a starting material, but none remains in the PLC used to make liposomes.
If you are trying to make your own liposomal, you may be able to about double the effect of ordinary vitamin C powder - assuming the concoction allows more of the vitamin C to be absorbed into the blood stream. We now believe, based on Sherry Lewin's VITAMIN C: ITS BIOLOGY AND MEDICAL POTENTIAL that one reason products that mix vitamin C with the amino acid lysine is that the amino chelates vitamin C, protecting it during digestion, allowing more to enter the blood stream. In any event, the amount to overcome heart disease is quite small compared to the other uses for which vitamin C is employed (e.g. infectious disease) and I would make sure that I was getting at least 10,000 mg of vitamin C (with at least 5000 mg of lysine.)
