http://www.thisisinsider.com/things-that-could-make-a-cold-worse-2017-10For forum readers, there IS a cure for the common cold, but for some reason our government and health authorities don't want people to know. However, since it is available without prescription, anyone can try it and see for themselves.
A cure for the common cold is to take 8000 mg of ascorbic acid by mouth, every 20 minutes, for two hours immediately after the onset.
For me, the onset is usually a clear watery like nasal discharge.
Once the cold takes hold, if you miss the onset, the cold's severity and duration can be reduced, but it cannot be stopped.
As far as the rationale. Our own research, as we kept track of at this forum, showed the ascorbic acid (ultrafine) and only ascorbic acid by mouth at 10 grams produced higher blood levels (around minute 3) than the corresponding baseline IV/C. Its a quick, surprising effect, and explains why we need to continue every 20 minutes.
