At about the 20 minute mark, the doc makes it sound as if taking more than 500 mg daily is useless.....
This is current medical thinking, and the data used has been criticized for over a decade by Drs. Hickey and Roberts... It is true that white blood cells do "saturate" at this intake, but these cells soak up vitamin C hundreds of times faster than the rest of our trillion cells.
And this opens a plug for our Bioavailability work and the paper about to be published.
We found that
a) Ascorbic Acid enters the blood stream rapidly, within minutes, and produces transient blood levels higher than an IV/C.
b) Taking Ascorbic Acid at the same rate as the IV/C created identical blood levels for the first 4 grams (4,000 mg).
