Post by DiverDown2 » Sat Aug 31, 2024 6:41 am

I was just diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, even thou All tests for it were negative. Doc wants me on hydroxychloroquine 200mg. daily.
Does anyone have info. that may help, since my symptoms only started in April 2024?

DiverDown2, you posted that all tests were negative. Did he perform Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide Antibodies test?

Some Facts:

1. Decades back, and even till today most docs depend on specific ancient tests like RA factor + and neg arthritis to diagnose it.

2. ACPA is the most specific biomarker for RA.

3. Your treating doc recommended HCQ, online in articles is thought to be a PAD inhibitor. Which is partially incorrect may work for some, since there are multiple PAD enzymes it's a hit or a miss.

4. Knowing a bit about your med. history, I'd suggest getting both ACPA and ANCA carried out.

5. Bone disease and cardiac disorders are linked, and vice versa.

6. Owen, in some post asked how would I know about the efficacy of LP protocol since haven't ever used it, very correct.

7. The reason for not using it for my patients suffering from cardiac issues, is that is slightly flawed and doesn't cover all basis. It does not help ALL patients and some on it for yrs. still suffer MI, elevated CAC, Lpa, atherosclerosis etc. It's akin to conventional therapy, taking VC, Lysine, Proline regularly for life. Have a look in the Heart/Cardiac section, in most it prophylactic but still can cause other med. (both cardiac and non cardiac) issues. Bottom line LP isn't a curative, but a palliative treatment for cardiac disorders.
Btw-I know where it is flawed...

Yes, he did the Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide Antibodies test
These are the tests that was ran:

Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide Antibodies = Negative
Rheumatoid Factor (RF) = Negative
Interleukin 6 (IL-6) = Negative
Interleukin 8 (IL-8) = Negative
ESR (Sedimentation Rate) = 31 High mm/hr. Range 0-30
C-Reactive Protein (CRP) = 6.60 High mg/L Range 0.00-3.00
AST (SGOT) 25 IU/L Range 0-40
ALT (SGPT) 19 Range 0-4

I will get the ANCA test.

So far, I have NOT started the HCQ. Because I am skeptical that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, I think I have cronic Inflammation and a GUT
problem!

I have been taking: Moringa, Boswellia, Niacinamide for Inflammation, and 3 different types of Probiotics (Lactobacillus, Saccharomyces, and
Bifidobacterium), and Sour Kraut for Gut.

My symptoms after 3 weeks of taking the above are improving!

1. Correct, you don't have RA. No need to take HCQ.
2. ANCA is a must.
3. It could be an inflammation of the bowel or cardiovascular. (ANCA/ MPO and PR3).

Note, adrenal insufficiency (low production of cortisol by the adrenals) will create symptoms of RA. Very hard to diagnose that someone is lacking a 'little bit" of cortisol. Even harder to get the correct corticosteroid - e.g., hydrocortisone - hormone replacement prescription.

Medical Medium states there is no such thing really as "autoimmune," i.e., the body never attacks itself, rather, it is attacking unknown viruses and in the case of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), the virus is a strain of the Epstein-Barr (EBV).

And as eDOC intuits - lysine is an antiviral (as is vitamin C) that should help.

Found this tidbit rereading Medical Medium's LIVER RESCUE in a section on LECTINS, which the source says we shouldn't worry about. The fear of lectins is misinformation.

[lectin fear] is a prime example of entitled ignorance. The problem with lectin concern is that it removes foods that would actually stop the viruses and other pathogens in people’s bodies that truly cause symptoms and disease.

Lectin leaders don’t know about these pathogens, or don’t know their role in causing conditions and illnesses, such as EBV as the true cause of RA. They would rather think a potato is causing someone’s RA than discover the truth that an amino acid in potatoes, L-lysine, stops EBV from causing RA. Instead, they believe that autoimmune is the immune system attacking the body’s own cells and destroying itself. Since they don’t understand that this autoimmune theory is inaccurate, they have nowhere else to turn besides blaming it all on lectins, believing in part that lectins are a problem because they supposedly confuse the body and cause it to turn against itself.

Meanwhile, they remove the foods that can heal you, such as fruit and certain vegetables, roots, and tubers, leading you to eat more fats and hurt your liver. The lectins in fruits and vegetables do not harm us. Please don’t let any source confuse you into thinking that lectins are like the toxic alkaloids produced as a defense mechanism by some wild plants not fit for human consumption.
