Anecdotal Experiences with Magtein / Magnesium Threonate

Post by Blanko » Mon Jul 01, 2024 4:22 pm

I'm curious about any anecdotal experiences with this unique supplement. Please share in this thread.

First time I used it it provided a great coma-like sleep, but since I haven't been able to replicate that effect and now I can't take it before bed or it keeps me up. Apparently that's common. However, when I take it earlier in the day it seems to make me fatigued and mildly impaired, which can be only partially offset with a caffeinated beverage.

Any success stories with this? Does it help heal and supercharge the brain?

I found this:

The Mercedes-Benz of Magnesium... Biohacker Review of Magnesium L-Threonate: https://odysee.com/@jroseland:f/Magnesi ... ---small:0

Any idea why his right eye is oddly turned in like that?

Just wanted to add that I've since found value in experimenting with different dosing of the mag threonate. At 1 capsule I am able to enjoy a pleasant calm unique from any other magnesium, and at 2 or more the calm turns to fatigue that in theory should facilitate deep sleep, which must be why the bottle advises taking 1 in the morning and 2 in the evening. Still getting a feel for what it does to my body, but can say I am happy having this tool in my arsenal.

For explicitly correcting a magnesium deficiency, the best one I've so far used is magnesium glycinate. However, the effect on the body between the glycinate and the threonate clearly is different.

Speaking of which, I suspect mag deficiency is at least as much to blame for heart disease as is vitamin C deficiency. I have no doubt the introduction of supplemental magnesium to my life is improving the quality of my body inside and extending my life expectancy.
