Without watching the video, we have learned from the Medical Medium that
A) All supplements require insulin to be usable by the human body.
And
B) fat in the bloodstream can block the uptake of all nutrients, not only vitamin C.
The new paradigm this knowledge creates is covered in a new article

Now, the advice to "Don't Use Supplements" sounds Big-Pharma inspired, but, I personally believe that you can get by with much less, so long as you take the nutrients with glucose (as comes naturally in fruits and some vegetables) and are not a diabetic.
With glucose available (to stimulate insulin from the pancreas) the only other issue is the "insulin resistance" caused by excessive fat in the diet. If you limit your fat intake to one meal, ideally dinner, then your blood stream should be "fat-free" most of the time, allowing easier nutrient uptake the rest of the day.
The Medical Medium has an extensive list of supplement protocols for various conditions. Probably because they know few people are going to budge off their Standard American Diet (or various fad diets, such as Keto). This is evidenced by their recommended supplement list:

CARDIO-C XM
Our Newest Cardio-C (XM) product features glucose.
We now recommend taking Cardo-C XM in the morning (when fat in the diet is minimal) and it would be best combined with a fruit smoothie.
If you don't do a smoothie, the glucose in the new product should assist your uptake with other supplements you chose to take at the same time.
